Modern Tank Engine Piston Speeds

I recently had a conversation that somehow veered off onto the topic of piston speed for modern tank engines.  That got me thinking, so I dusted off the calculator and started crunching some numbers.  I found that bore and stroke figures are not all that easy to find for some of these engines.  Thank god for my copy Jane's AFV Retrofit Systems 1992-93.  Most of these figures come from there.  I also referenced some MTU brochures I had.  The figures for the L60 come from "Chieftain" by Rob Griffin.  The figures for the Russian B-92 come from the website for Chelyabinsk Tractor Factory.

Basically, the point of this exercise was to show that MTU engines have really high piston speeds in comparison to other engines.  What does this mean?  Not really sure, I'm not actually an engineer.
